Job Description

Are you a confident communicator with a passion for customer service and a knack for lead generation

SGS  is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Internal Sales Executive to join our dynamic team in Shepton Mallet. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in sales within a fast-paced B2B environment

This Internal Sales position is focused on driving business growth by supporting the external sales team. Youll play a key role in identifying researching and generating new leads as well as maintaining and expanding relationships

What Youll Be Doing

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Proactively call and email potential clients uncover new opportunities and raise awareness of SGS  solutions.

  • Market Intelligence: Conduct competitor analysis and monitor industry trends to help shape our strategy.

  • Customer Support: Handle inbound enquiries via phone email Teams and chatbot.

  • Sales Support: Create quotes and proposals progress leads and coordinate meetings for the sales team.

  • CRM Management: Maintain and update client records monitor contract performance and report on activity using Salesforce.

  • Client Development: Re-engage lapsed clients and explore opportunities within existing accounts.

  • Administrative Duties: Assist with onboarding document management and invoice/payment queries.

Qualifications :

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Confident cold caller and natural lead generator
  • Strong commercial awareness and customer service mindset
  • Previous experience in a phone-based B2B technical or logistics environment
  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)

Desirable

  • Background in customs logistics or related technical services
  • Experience working with measurable performance targets
  • Customer service or sales administration qualification
