Job Description
In this administrator position you will support the technical needs of both internal and external customers to create and maintain solutions on premise or in cloud to meet performance expectations and align with security requirements. Office365 Azure on prem Active Directory backup recovery and support tasks for on premise or cloud environments. All activities and tasks will be conducted with utmost respect professionalism and courtesy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administration of on-prem Active Directory
- Office365 and Azure Administration
- Email migration to Office365
- Configuration and/or installation of Workstations and Software
- Configuration and/or installation of Servers and Software
- Monitoring and Management of Servers and Network Performance
- Monitor and respond to network server storage related alerts
- Cross functional coordination with server storage workstation and application areas with emphasis on security compliance
- Management Reporting
- Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications :
To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge skill or ability required.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to present to a target audience.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including hours beyond the normal schedule when necessary; we operate in a 24x7x365 environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills of very complex systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills in resolving issues with complex systems.
- Good end user presentation skills. Able to communicate technical information to users in a non-technical manner.
- Ability to travel is required.
Education/Experience:
- A BA/BS degree with 3 years of experience and/or an Associate degree with 3 or more years experience is preferred.
- Degree equivalency: 5 years working experience in an enterprise IT environment in a network-specific position.
Additional preferences:
- Experience with Office365 and SharePoint Administration
- Experience with Hypervisors like VMWare
- Experience with PowerShell
- Experience with Anti-virus and security tools
- Experience with various monitoring software (SolarWinds Nagios QRadar SNOW Tufins etc)
- Experience with NextGen Firewalls (Fortinet Cisco Checkpoint)
- Experience and understanding of Network protocols and switching/routing
- Experience with Backup Solutions
Certificates and/or Licenses:
- CompTIA Server Office365 certification CompTIA Network CompTIA Security
Ability and/or Skills:
- Ability to multitask
- Maintain productivity in fast-paced environment
- Work with minimal supervision
- Possess a strong curiosity and enjoy learning about technology in general. This is a position that will afford exposure to a wide variety of technology and will require continuous learning and skills improvement.
Additional Information :
Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement including the ability to read write and speak in English.
