You will be updated with latest job alerts via email Lead and oversee assurance and audit engagements for both public and private clients.
Provide technical expertise and solutions on complex accounting matters.
Train mentor and review the work of junior and intermediate accountants.
Anticipate engagement risks assess alternatives and implement solutions.
Collaborate closely with managers partners and client service teams to meet timelines and
expectations.
Build long-term client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
Drive engagement efficiency and maintain firm quality standards.
CPA designation (mandatory).
1 2 years post-designation experience with at least 3 years in audit/assurance.
Strong knowledge of Canadian Auditing Standards IFRS/ASPE ASNPO and US GAAP (asset).
Prior experience managing and mentoring a team (minimum 1 year).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong engagement management and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and familiarity with accounting systems.
Education
CPA designation experience in public practice. Canadian Auditing Standards, US GAAP, PCAOB, CAS, and IFRS.
