Position Summary
As a member of the facility the Merchandise Technician will be primarily responsible for performing duties related to the Bickle Centre Gift Shop.
Duties:
- Responsible for ordering receiving and pricing of merchandise
- Performs merchandising and cashier functions
- Organizes revenue-generating promotions to attract customer interest
- Provides great customer service
- Provide leadership support and guidance to gift shop volunteers
- Coordinate the return of stale-dated merchandise and other products
- Maintain the order and cleanliness of the gift shop
- Perform cross-functional duties within the scope of authority
- Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned or requested.
- Requires lifting items or bending such as cases of products greater than 15lbs which are sold by the case merchandising/stocking cases of beverages
- Requires standing 95% of the shift
- Requires assisting with packaging and reconciling invoices
Qualifications :
- One (1) year of related merchandising experience preferably in the healthcare industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal organizational and time management skills
- Experience and interest in retail merchandising
- Computer Skills: MS Word and basic Excel an asset
- Willingness to work flexible hours and changing shift schedule
