Job Description
Job Title: Production Associate
Department: Production/Operations
Job Type: Non-exempt
Position Overview
The Production Asscoiate position supports a wide range of production and manufacturing activities including fabrication printing sewing assembly and general shop support. This role requires flexibility to perform cross-functional duties ensuring that products and projects are completed safely accurately and on time.
Essential Job Functions
Read and follow work orders drawings specifications and patterns.
Operate and maintain production equipment and tools such as sewing machines printers power tools and material-handling equipment.
Assist with fabrication sewing assembly and finishing of products using a variety of materials including metal wood vinyl and fabric.
Inspect materials and finished products for quality accuracy and compliance with specifications.
Safely load move and position materials using forklifts hand trucks or hoists.
Perform preventive maintenance on machines and report needed repairs.
Accurately track work and maintain documentation in company systems.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety protocols.
Support team members in multiple departments and assist with other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in a manufacturing production or shop environment preferred.
Ability to use measuring tools and perform basic math related to materials and dimensions.
Strong problem-solving organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude adaptability and willingness to learn new skills.
Must pass pre-employment drug test.
Physical Demands
Frequent standing walking bending crouching and climbing.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
Specific vision requirements include close vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Conditions
Fast-paced manufacturing environment with possible exposure to dust fumes and noise.
Overtime or irregular hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
Occasional travel may be required to support off-site projects.
