JOB OVERVIEW:

Under general supervision the Pest Control Associate I is responsible for assisting in the control of stored product pests throughout the facility. Duties include insecticide spraying fogging placing pheromone and rodent traps and applying rodenticides all while ensuring minimal impact on product quality. Following Blue Diamond Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) policies and PPE safety procedures while performing all job duties will be essential in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspects bait or replace if necessary all rodent traps and bait boxes throughout the facility and record findings daily.
  • Checks and records insect activity of pheromone traps weekly or as directed.
  • Spray for weed and insect control.
  • Inspect bait or replace all mouse traps rat traps and bait boxes throughout the facility and record findings daily.

WHAT YOU NEED

*Minimum qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • SCBA gear gas detectors high & low range Microgen foggers forklift Scissor lift and Sweeper/Scrubber.
  • Must pass physical including series of blood tests.
  • Ability to climb ladders and cross high catwalks.
  • Must be able to walk plant areas and lift 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • 1 year of pest control experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a standard manufacturing environment with exposure to noise dust hazardous materials and heavy machinery in varying work and weather conditions. You may be required to occasionally climb stairs and/or ladders.
