DOAS Project Coordinator (SPD) (775773)

Pay rate: $40.93 hr

Temp ( 6 months)

Job location: 200 Piedmont Ave SE Suite 1804 West Tower Atlanta GA 30334

Hybrid

Hours : 8 hours daily/5 days per week.

The candidate MUST be local and be able to come to the office.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a project coordinator to support the State Purchasing Division (SPD) program of our agency and related technology person will be responsible for keeping initiatives moving on track through all phases of the project life cycle.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan organize and integrate cross-functional information technology tasks to deliver specific results to customers on time.
  • Record and distribute project meeting minutes.
  • Monitor and track project documentation and deliverables.
  • Send follow-ups as necessary to ensure project activities are completed in a timely manner.
  • Work with project managers and business teams to document and manage project scope and high-level requirements.
  • Perform project tasks (gathering requirements facilitating design discussions managing application development testing training and roll-outs) as required to keep projects on track.
  • Define resources and schedule for project/program implementation.
  • Keep project status and resource forecasts current in reporting tools.
  • Use reporting tools to keep customers informed of project status and to schedule upcoming work.
  • Provide customer management responsibilities including managing expectations communicating project status and reporting on lessons learned and retrospective findings.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office tools (Project Teams Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook etc.)
  • Excellent written oral and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholder groups: executive management business and technical teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three years of recent verifiable relevant project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience implementing large-scale human resource systems or programs.
  • Prior experience implementing business processes in a government organization.
  • Certification as Professional Project Manager (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
