The Office of Energy promotes the efficient use and responsible management of energy in the state. It helps maximize Louisianas energy potential by exploring all energy sources and by reducing current energy consumption through education energy-use studies and demonstrations of energy-efficient technologies.
This Policy Planner 4 is a senior-level position responsible for leading statewide energy policy development with a primary focus on federally funded energy initiatives and grant programs administered through the U.S. Department of Energy (USDOE). The incumbent develops policies procedures and planning frameworks to ensure alignment with federal energy priorities regulatory compliance and effective delivery of energy efficiency and renewable energy programs.

Compensation:The maximum amounts listed are the maximum salary amounts a person can make at each level over their career and notthe amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
Appointment Type:Probational.A current permanent status state employee may be required to accept a probational appointment in lieu of promotion.
Location:This position is located in within the Office of Energy in Baton Rouge LA
