Today We Are Looking For
The Coordinator Policy Engagement plays a critical role inengaging with Partnership members and delivering on the Partnerships value proposition of impacting the regions most pressing challenges through convening advocating and communicating. This individual will serve as the hub for committee data and analytics track key performance indicators and support the execution of high-impact member-facing programming. The ideal candidate will be familiar with governmental affairs at the local state and federal levels highly organized detail-oriented data-savvy and passionate about engaging members around public policy issues important to the Houston region.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The following responsibilities are essential to job performance:
Committee Engagement & Analytics
Support all public policy committees by tracking member participation engagement metrics and committee deliverables.
Maintain up-to-date rosters attendance records and dashboards across all committees.
Manage data collection and reporting to assess the effectiveness and impact of committee engagement activities.
Content & Communication
Assist with the development of marketing materials to drive engagement for policy committee meetings and public policy events.
Support preparation of briefing materials and policy content for internal and external stakeholders.
Contribute to the creation of content for web and digital platforms related to public policy programs.
Programs & Events
Strategize and implement public policy-related programs and events.
Collaborate with internal events marketing and policy divisions to manage event logistics branding and content creation.
Serve as liaison for cross-departmental coordination on public policy programming.
Stakeholder Relations
Cultivate relationships with Partnership members elected officials offices and other key stakeholders through program engagement.
Represent the Partnership in public policy programs and event settings serving as a professional and knowledgeable point of contact.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor content to various audiences.
Excellent organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills; comfortable engaging with senior-level stakeholders.
Analytical thinker with the ability to develop manage and report on data-driven metrics.
Self-motivated and able to thrive in a deadline-driven fast-paced environment.
Experience with and affinity for Microsoft office products.
Education Requirements
Bachelors degree preferably in political science public affairs public administration or a related field.
Required Experience
Minimum of 23 years of experience in public policyproject management or a related role.
Experience working with elected officials government relations or advocacy organizations preferred.
