Summary:
Empower students to rediscover their potential in a structured supportive environment tailored for those with emotional and behavioral challenges. This role focuses on individualized instruction and fostering meaningful connections to promote academic and personal growth.
What Youll Do:
- Develop and implement IEPs aligned with each students unique needs
- Deliver differentiated instruction across core subjects
- Monitor and document student progress adjusting strategies as necessary
- Collaborate with families therapists and support staff to ensure cohesive support
- Maintain a safe and predictable classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team planning
What Youll Need:
- Valid Virginia Special Education teaching license (preferred)
- Experience working with students facing emotional or behavioral challenges
- Strong classroom management and collaborative skills
- Commitment to trauma-informed educational practices
- Bachelors degree
