Overview:
Caixa Mgica Software is a Portuguese company and a leader in the Open Source market segments in Portugal. We provide a range of services including specialized business consulting software project development and research and innovation. We develop various projects targeting different areas of implementation.
We are actively engaged with Open Source communities organizing a popular event in Lisbon and participating in several research projects funded by the European Union. Caixa Mgica maintains strong ties with the Portuguese public administration contributing to the development of middleware for the Portuguese Citizen Card system and extending that concept toward standardization and compliance with other European systems.
We also maintain a close relationship with the R&D departments of several sectors such as telecommunications and media energy mobile systems and cloud-based platforms to support manufacturing systems.
What will you do
- Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable/receivable expense tracking and reconciliations;
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports to support management decision-making;
- Assist (Francisco and Finance Controller) in budgeting forecasting and financial planning activities;
- Monitor cash flow working capital and cost controls to ensure financial stability;
- Collaborate with leadership to establish financial procedures and controls suitable for a startup environment;
- Conduct financial analysis to evaluate business performance unit economics and ROI on strategic initiatives;
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations accounting standards and statutory requirements;
- Liaise with external and external stakeholders (e.a Global Finance Team in France).
What are we looking for
- Bachelors degree in Management Economics Accounting or related field (Finance);
- 3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting preferably within startups automotive or technology-driven industries;
- Understanding of financial reporting budgeting and forecasting;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail;
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
