POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for unloading product deliveries timely and accurate customer order fulfillment and assisting with organizing and maintaining existing inventory in the distribution center.Forklift/Order Picker use requires working at heights of up to 20 feet while wearing safety harness.

REPORTS TO:Shift Supervisor

JOB DUTIES:

  1. DEPENDABILITY & RELIABILITY:
    1. Identify and report safety issues
    2. Ability to follow detailed directions with or without supervision
    3. Self-motivated excellent at multi-tasking detail-oriented
  2. PROFESSIONALDEVELOPMENT:
    1. Complete and maintain forklift operation certification as required
    2. Complete and maintain any other training as required by management
    3. Proficiency in 4 or more roles listed in the Job Knowledge category below.
  3. JOBKNOWLEDGE:
    1. ORDER PICKING:
      1. Perform order fulfillment functions using technology in accordance withstandard operating procedures
      2. Ensure that all low unit of measure items are picked in such a manner that sterility cleanliness and order neatness is maintained throughout the deliveryof the order to the customer
      3. Orders must be bagged and packed in a neat and efficient manner in accordance with current standard operating procedures
      4. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area (i.e. discardempty boxes)
      5. Responsible for verifying the expiration dates on products and ensuring the product shipped is clean and undamaged. All outdated or damaged productswill be brought to the attention of a supervisor
      6. While picking in the area of the 3rdfloor Pick Module associates are responsible for performing inventory storage functions using hand held devices in accordance with standard operating procedures
      7. Responsible for accurately cycle counting inventory when prompted
      8. Complete any additional tasks assigned by a supervisor or lead in a timely manner
    2. 5S CLEANING:
      1. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organization at all times (i.e. discard empty boxes plastic & trash)
      2. Use floor scrubber to clean DC floor when necessary
      3. Empty trash cans and rolling trash bins when necessary
      4. Remove debris from exterior and interior of building when necessary
      5. Wipe down storage shelving and organize boxes in the pick module
      6. Identify and correct safety hazards in the work environment
      7. Assist with minor building maintenance projects
      8. Complete any additional tasks assigned by a supervisor or lead in a timely manner
    3. SPD BREAKDOWN:
      1. Responsible for removing items out of its cardboard box
      2. Ensure all items remove from cardboard boxes are placed in the appropriate tote or rolling gray cart
      3. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area (i.e. discard empty boxes)
      4. Responsible for verifying the expiration dates on products and ensuring the product shipped is clean and undamaged. All outdated or damaged products needs to be brought to the attention of a supervisor or lead
      5. Orders must be bagged and packed in a neat and organized manner inaccordance with current standard operating procedures
      6. Ensure that all containers (bins carts etc.) are labeled correctly
      7. Responsible for affixing the department specific packing slip to the picked order in such a manner that it is easily readable and accessible to the customer
      8. Responsible for preparing all SPD orders for shipping by shrink wrapping pallets rolling gray carts and or U-boat cart
      9. Complete any additional tasks assigned by a supervisor or lead in a timely manner
    4. ORDER PICKING FORKLIFT:Forklift/Order Picker use requires working at heightsof up to 20 feet while wearing safetyharness:
      1. Perform order fulfillment functions using hand held devices inaccordance with standard operating procedures
      2. Responsible for accurately cycle counting inventory when prompted
      3. Certified capable of safely using all fork lift equipment in our facility
      4. Capable of safely using all other manual (i.e. pallet jacks) and motorized ( chasers) material handling equipment
      5. Follow all daily equipment inspection activities
      6. Report any operational defects or potential safety hazards to a supervisor or lead andtake that piece of equipment out of service
      7. Return all equipment to its appropriate idle location and ensure that allequipment gets recharged when its required
      8. Perform application inquires to find products andinventory
      9. Ensure that all containers (bins totes boxes etc.) are all labeled correctly
      10. Responsible for preparing customer orders for shipping by palletizing totes /cases and shrink wrapping pallets or carts
      11. Complete any additional tasks assigned by a supervisor or lead in a timely manner
    5. STOCKING -- FORKLIFT:Forklift/Order Picker use requires working at heights ofupto 20 feet while wearing safetyharness:
      1. Proficiency in required computer skills including but not limited to: Microsoft Outlook Supply Chain Management Software
      2. Maintain a working knowledge of applicable and related supply chainmanagement tool functions
      3. Perform inventory storage functions using hand held devices in accordance with standard operating procedures
      4. Responsible for accurately cycle counting inventory when prompted
      5. Certified capable of safely using all other manual (i.e. pallet jacks) andmotorized (i.e. stock chasers) material handling equipment
      6. Complete all daily equipment inspection activities and report any operational defects or potential safety hazards to a supervisor or lead
      7. Return all equipment to its appropriate idle location and ensure that allequipment gets recharged when not in use
      8. Perform application inquiries to solve discrepancies when they arediscovered
      9. Minimize occurrences of overriding suggested storage locations
      10. Complete additional tasks assigned by a supervisor or lead in a timely manner
    6. RETURNS/RECEIVING CLERK:
      1. Perform inventory storage functions using hand held devices in accordance with standard operating procedures
      2. Proficiency in required computer skills including but not limited to: Microsoft Outlook Supply Chain Management Software
      3. Maintain a working knowledge of applicable and related supply chain management tool functions
      4. Process all products returned from customers and to vendors inaccordance with company policies
      5. Make appropriate data entry to maintain all necessary documentationpertaining to customer and vendor returns
      6. Restock products returned fromcustomers
      7. Demonstrate ability to operate all equipment necessary to function in thisposition
      8. Verify receiver notes for any damage or unacceptable freight on the vendor packing list
      9. Verify receiver notes for any discrepancies of over/under of shipments on the vendor packing list
      10. Scan and file all vendor packing lists into the appropriate file folder
      11. Email all discrepancies to the appropriate buyer in the Purchasing department for follow-up and resolution
      12. Responsible for maintaining clear and accurate communications with other departments within the company
      13. Responsible for properly investigating any discrepancy issues on the Purchasing department 24hr report
      14. Complete any additional tasks assigned by a supervisor or lead in a timely manner
    7. STAGING OF TOTES: ORDER CONSOLIDATION:
      1. Responsible for preparing customer orders for shipping by palletizing totes / cases and shrink wrapping pallets or carts
      2. Responsible for ensuring items are bagged and packed in a neat and organized manner in accordance with current standard operating procedures
      3. Ensure that all LUM & BULK items are packed in such a manner that sterility cleanliness and order neatness is maintained the delivery of the order to the customer
      4. Ensure that all containers (bins totes boxes etc.) are labeled correctly
      5. Responsible for affixing the department specific packing slip to the picked order in such a manner that it is easily readable and accessible to the customer
      6. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area (i.e. discard empty boxes & trash)
      7. Complete any additional tasks assigned by a supervisor or lead in a timely manner
    8. QUALITY OFWORK:
      1. Maintain high quality performance by accurately utilizing Elite software
      2. Correctly perform necessary inventory adjustments
      3. Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area (i.e. discard emptyboxes)
    9. ADHERENCE TOCOMPANYPOLICIES:
      1. Follow all documented LeeSar policy and procedure
      2. Demonstrate ability to meet LeeSar attendance policy being at work on time every shift
      3. Follow all safety regulations and rules
    10. COMMUNICATION COLLABORATION &ENGAGEMENT:
      1. Demonstrate ability to properly escalate appropriate issues to shift supervisor or lead including but not limited to: products being stored to the wrong location any outdated / expired product being unable to complete work for any reason etc.
