Inbox Business Technologies is looking for a skilled Networking Engineer to join our talented team. As a Networking Engineer you will be responsible for the design implementation maintenance and troubleshooting of our organizations network infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a robust and secure network environment to support our business operations.
Responsibilities:
- Handle Level 2 and Level 3 escalations related to LAN WAN and Wi-Fi networks.
- Troubleshoot network performance issues connectivity failures and configuration errors.
- Support and troubleshoot Avaya Cisco or equivalent IP phone systems.
- Handle escalations related to extension setup call routing and voice quality issues.
- Coordinate with vendors or Level 4 teams for complex telephony problems.
- Manage and replace patch cords ensure proper port mappings and labeling.
- Coordinate with field technicians for cabling checks and infrastructure improvements.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security and hardening guidelines.
- Escalate unresolved or critical issues to specialized teams (e.g. Security ETS EDS).
- Provide feedback to Resident Engineers and guide them on recurring issues.
- Work closely with IT Helpdesk teams for ticket resolution.
- Maintain professional communication with end users while resolving escalated issues.
- Train junior staff/REs on basic network troubleshooting and best practices.
- Ensure respond every call/Email in a professional manner
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field
- Certifications preferred: CCNA/CCNP Network Avaya (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of LAN WAN Wi-Fi and Cisco/Avaya IP telephony systems
- Hands-on troubleshooting of network performance connectivity configuration errors and voice quality issues
- Familiarity with cabling standards patch panels port mappings and security hardening guidelines
- 35 years experience handling Level 2/3 escalations vendor coordination and ticketing systems
- Strong communication skills with ability to mentor junior staff and manage critical escalations under pressure.
