Job Description
*Clearance: a T5 security clearance based on an initiated Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) in Defense Information System for Security DISS)*
*On-site required*
Location: Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) CIO C109 Portsmouth VA 23709
Responsibilities:
- Conduct cyber metrics analysis
- Perform incident response and mitigation
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Create and maintain contingency plans
- Analyze system and network vulnerabilities
- Conduct Security Test and Evaluation
- Manage firewall policies
- Monitor and secure ports and protocols
- Maintain all day-to-day VRAM activities
- Upload and manage system baseline configurations
- Ensure compliance with all relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards
- Bachelors degree in an IT-related discipline
- four (4) years of experience in cybersecurity analysis
- Expert knowledge of cybersecurity/INFOSEC concepts and requirements
- Experience with system/network vulnerability analysis
- Proficiency in risk assessment and risk mitigation analysis
- Experience with Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E)
- Knowledge of contingency planning methodologies
- Understanding of firewall policy implementation and management
- Experience maintaining Vulnerability Remediation Asset Management (VRAM) activities
- Ability to enter system baseline configurations in VRAM by uploading vulnerability scans
- Experience with cybersecurity applications such as ACAS HBSS MDE MDI and Splunk
- Expert knowledge of cybersecurity requirements as defined by:
- Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA)
- DoDD 8100.02
- DODI 8500.01
- DoDI
- SECNAV 5239 Series and OPNAV 5239 Series
- NIST Special Publications Series 800
- Expert knowledge of requirements outlined in OPNAVINST N9210.3 regarding Safeguarding Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information
- Fully qualified in accordance with DoD 8570.01M
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee may lift or move objects up to 5 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
