As an Adaptive consultant you will be fully supported by the Simmons & Simmons team with a sponsoring Partner and a client team with whom we would encourage you to engage on a regular basis. Main purpose of the role:
Provide legal advice on contractual arrangements memoranda of understanding and cooperative agreements.
Advise on a broad range of legal issues affecting statutory bodies and the exercise of their functions.
Interpret and apply relevant legislation anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing laws and associated codes and guidelines.
Support internal divisions on legal aspects of policy initiatives and contribute to project-specific legal work.
Person specification:
Qualified lawyer in Hong Kong with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
Strong proficiency in contract law and legal frameworks governing statutory bodies.
Familiarity with financial regulatory legislation and compliance standards.
Demonstrated ability to advise on policy development and cross-functional projects.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
