We are seeking a mid level Solicitor with a background in general banking and finance project and resources finance and/or restructuring & insolvency to join our busy team.
Our work
You will be responsible for challenging and complex legal work which often sets the pace in the this role you will perform primarily advisory and transactional work on complex transactional and general banking and finance transactions. Our clients range from major financial and government institutions investment banks financial advisors and regulators to industry groups and major corporations.
About the team
Our Banking & Finance team advise on a full range of finance loans and restructuring transactions. We bring outstanding teamwork and in-depth knowledge to every transaction and work closely with each other and other colleagues around the this role you will work closely with Nathan Collins and Peixin Truong.
Nathan Collins has extensive acquisition and project financing experience in the energy and resources sector as well as experience in structured financing restructuring and insolvency.
Nathan has featured in Best Lawyers every year since 2014 and has been named Lawyer of the Year in various categories. Nathan is consistently named as preeminent in the Banking & Finance category of Doyles Guide.
Peixin Truong is a banking and finance and restructuring and insolvency specialist. He acts on a broad range of local and international banking and finance transactions for major Australian and international financiers as well as for borrowers. He has extensive acquisition and project financing experience in the energy and resources sector and also acts on formal and informal restructuring and insolvency transactions. He was named as recommended in the Banking & Finance category of Doyles Guide.
You will have
transactional finance experience gained in a similar environment and enjoy working as part of a committed team
excellent analytical communication and research skills to contribute to the delivery of prompt and commercially astute advice
strong commitment to client service and well-developed relationship management ability you will play a role in supporting and actively developing our relationships with clients
team focus to facilitate effective teamwork by developing strong internal relationships
enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities participating in industry related programs and developing strategic relationships and networks
experience in drafting and familiarity with banking and finance documents.
