ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT:
The World Food Programme (WFP) is the worlds largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. Over the years when requested to do so WFP has also made available its Supply Chain expertise knowledge and network to governments donors and UN agencies on a cost recovery basis. This service provision work stream seeks to enable better outcomes through supply chain partnerships and forms a key commitment to Agenda 2030 SDG 17 Partnership for the Goals.
When providing Supply Chain services to Partners WFP may be required to establish manage oversee and monitor evaluate and/or implement cargo handling (i.e. transport storage) activities. To effectively and efficiently manage service provision and cargo handling activities WFP has implemented the Service Marketplace (SMP) and Relief Item Tracking Application (RITA) software in some Bilateral Service Provision contexts.
JOB PURPOSE:
To meet the increasing needs of WFPs Supply Chain service provision portfolio WFP is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to join the On Demand Services (ODS) HQ team providing support to Country Offices with the implementation of service provision activities and operations. While the successful candidate will be required to support Country Offices with a range of issues the primary focus of the role will be on the utilization of SMP and RITA.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The Supply Chain Officer will provide a support function to enable effective delivery of on-demand service provision activities and operations inter alia:
ODS activities with user accounts/permissions management.
SMP and RITA implementation in ODS operations including the development ofConcept of Operations and associated RITA SOPs in all COs/Stand-alone Operations/GlobalODS Services where RITA is or will be rolled out (as needed);
ODS with Global operational data reporting.
the highest standards of SMP and RITA implementation in all service provisionoperations in line with ODS processes and procedures.

5. Support with RITA ODS data quality analysis/verification and validation. Advise users of inconsistencies and errors. Identify user weaknesses and provide additional training/guidance if necessary.
6. Support RITA ODS as a liaison with RITA Global/IT for issues related to system errors and data server/maintenance issues.
7. Support ODS in defining clear data recording/reporting standards as well as RITA implementation SOPs.
8. Assist with technical field support to service provision operations and the country offices including coaching training and other activities to enable high performance.
9. Support country offices with WFP liability insurance declaration for third-party NFI cargo through document review creation and posting of declarations
10. Undertake other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Outputs:
Consolidate 2024 annual ODS operational data.
Consolidate Q1-Q2 2025 operational data.
Roll-out cargo tracking system to new ODS project countries
Provide desk support to on-going service provision projects.
Provide support to Logistics Cluster emergency operations.
Support WFP country offices with third-party NFI cargo insurance declaration
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Education:
Advanced University degree preferably in Supply Chain Management Engineering Economics Business Administration Logistics or other related field or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.
Desired Experience:
Experience managing the storage and transport of Non-Food Items (NFIs) maintaining corporate systems and running queries on ongoing shipments pipeline information insurance claims and NFI stock.
Experience in warehouse management.
Experience in compiling contract documentation.
Experience in Logistics Service Provision to third parties.
Experience in data reporting.
Experience supervising professional staff.
Experience in working in insecure and difficult environments.

Experience working with interagency partners to coordinate emergency/non-emergencyoperation.
Willingness to travel 30% of the time.
Knowledge & Skills:
A service provision mind-set is essential
Ability to plan coordinate and manage multiple activities and adjust to changing priorities.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent written and analytical skills.
Advanced knowledge of logistics operations.
Knowledge of warehouse management and commodity distribution standards andprocedures.
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Windows MS Excel MS Word MS PowerPoint
and other related software.
Advanced knowledge of the Relief Tracking Application (RITA) and system data reportingwould be an advantage.
Languages:
Fluency (level C) in English language. Preferably also an intermediate knowledge (level B) ofFrench.
