Disclosure Scotland is offering an exciting opportunity for 2 exceptional individuals to serve as a Non-Executive Members of the Disclosure Scotland Advisory Board. This will be made up of 1 general member and 1 specialist in Digital Delivery.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the governance and strategic direction of a vital public service organisation.
As a Non-Executive Board Member you will provide independent advice and support to the Chief Executive in their capacity as Accountable Officer. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the organisations strategy enhancing performance and ensuring robust risk management.
About us:
Disclosure Scotland (DS) is an Executive Agency of the Scottish Government operating on behalf of the Scottish Ministers to perform an important safeguarding role for the people of Scotland.
The work of DS directly supports the Scottish Governments National Outcomes for Children and Young People Economy Fair Work and Business Communities and Human Rights. To contribute to these DS is responsible for two primary services managing and delivering the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and processing applications for disclosure certificates which enable safer recruitment decisions to be made by employers.

Digital Deliver Key Attributes and Experience (specialist criteria):
We are seeking accomplished leader in digital delivery with a deep understanding of technology and its transformative potential in public service innovation. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset technical expertise and a strong track record of delivering impactful digital solutions at scale.
Proven Leadership in Digital Transformation: Demonstrated success in leading large-scale or complex digital programmes encompassing both platform development and software engineering.
Strategic and Technical Insight: A strong ability to critically assess and advise across all stages of digital deliveryfrom the inception of new technologies and services to the continuous improvement of existing systems through the intelligent application of digital tools.
Value-Driven Decision Making: Capable of providing assurance to the Accountable Officer that strategic decisions and investments deliver measurable value for money align with policy objectives and achieve meaningful service outcomes.
Sector Expertise and Influence: Brings relevant sector knowledge professional insight and a strong network of connections to enhance Disclosure Scotlands engagement and collaboration across the wider public sector digital ecosystem and beyond.
