We are currently seeking an experienced organised and compassionate SENCO to join an inclusive and forward-thinking secondary school in Exeter. This is a full-time permanent role starting January 2026 offering an exciting opportunity for a dedicated SEND leader to take responsibility for shaping and strengthening provision across the school.

About the Role
Leading the strategic and operational direction of SEND across the school
Overseeing EHCP processes reviews and statutory compliance
Supporting teaching staff with differentiation and inclusive practice
Monitoring SEND progress and coordinating targeted interventions
Line managing support staff and supporting professional development
Working closely with parents carers and external professionals
Contributing to safeguarding and pastoral structures
Experience and Qualifications
NASENCO qualification (or working towards)
QTS
Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
Experience supporting students with diverse needs in a secondary setting
Excellent leadership communication and organisational skills
Salary
Paid to scale SEN allowance.
