Job Description
The Facility Lead Warehouser performs day-to-day warehouse activities including shipping receiving inventory control and general administrative functions.
- Location: 3230 9th Street - East Calgary Alberta T2G 3C3
- Schedule: Full-time Monday - Friday 1st shift
- Compensation: $21.54 - $27.99 hourly
Responsibilities
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load pack wrap label ship)
- Receive and process warehouser stock products (pick unload label store)
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high
- Load and unload products from deliveries
- Operate tinting and mixing equipment and material handling equipment in an efficient and safe manner
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Ensure that the stockroom is organized
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including safety loss prevention and security
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures rules and regulations
- Oversee shipping and receiving functions.
- Provide input regarding inventory levels in the warehouse/stockroom.
- Identify potential damaged/obsolete material and handle per established policy/procedures.
- Oversee will-calls and proper flow of paperwork.
- Ensure appropriate forms are completed for hazardous material deliveries.
- Help to minimize potential obsolescence by identifying and reporting slow moving/ soon to expire inventory to management
- Establish maintenance schedule for all equipment.
- Receive merchandise through the POS.
- Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with those in line of work.
- Determine employee training needs and implement training as appropriate
- Ensure the warehouse staff performs at a level appropriate to meet facility objectives by clearly communicating assignments and expectations
- Delegate work assignments direct and train warehouse staff members in completion of their assigned tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
Must be able with or without reasonable accommodation to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. on occasion
Have at least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment for example: forklifts (stand and sit) pallet jacks hand trucks order pickers vacu-hoists drum dollies conveyor belts etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Have at least one (1) year of work experience mixing or blending raw materials and making a product in an industrial batch process
Have at least two (2) years of work experience using material handling equipment for example: forklifts (stand and sit) pallet jacks hand trucks order pickers vacu-hoists drum dollies conveyor belts etc.
Have at least two (2) years experience working in a delivery retail or customer service position
Have prior work experience operating tinting or color matching equipment
Have prior work experience repairing spray equipment
