Responsibilities
35% Case development Researching gathering information/data and interviewing key stakeholders for the purpose of identifying philanthropic priorities across the Medical University of South Carolina. The position will develop overviews of each unit interview internal stakeholders to identify fundraising priorities write supporting cases for each and compile in different formats for inclusion in various fundraising collateral (e.g. web content brochures and case statements). Must be able to ask leading questions that foster ideas and the gathering of pertinent information questions to develop high quality proposals.
35% Proposal writing Writing both templated and customized proposals for philanthropic support. Must be able to translate complex research and medical terms into easy-to-understand dialogue.
25%Impact reporting Writing content (i.e. newsletter/e-newsletter articles emails etc.) that demonstrate the impact of philanthropy on the universitys mission and lives of the people served by that mission.
5% Other duties as assigned.
