Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Manager to lead our department responsible for packaged systems. This role involves overseeing the quoting design drawings and submittals for packaged systems tailored to commercial and industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or systems engineering leadership experience and a proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the departments quoting design and documentation processes for packaged systems.
Develop detailed engineering designs and ensure all drawings and submittals meet project requirements and industry standards.
Oversee the selection and integration of components including pumps compressors motors heat exchangers piping and instrumentation.
Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure packaged systems meet commercial and industrial application needs.
Ensure designs adhere to quality standards and applicable codes while optimizing for cost and functionality.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the engineering team fostering innovation and professional development.
Collaborate with manufacturing and fabrication teams to ensure seamless assembly and installation.
Develop and maintain project schedules budgets and resource allocations.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Systems Engineering or a related field (Masters preferred).
Experience: 8 years in engineering design with 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Strong technical expertise in packaged systems for commercial and industrial applications.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD SolidWorks) and project management tools.
Familiarity with control panels instrumentation and system integration.
Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Skills
Experience working with steel structures or enclosures.
Knowledge of industry standards and codes (e.g. ASME ANSI NFPA).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
