Trade Operations Specialist and help shape the future of global trade management!

As an International Trade Operations Specialist you will play a pivotal role in implementing and optimizing international trade management systems acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will leverage your expertise in foreign trade operations to identify business needs translate them into technical requirements and ensure successful system implementations. Your strong presentation negotiation and customer service skills will be instrumental as you collaborate with both internal and external partners.

About the Role
In this opportunity as an International Trade Operations Specialist you will:

  • Lead and manage foreign trade operational activities ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams translating operational needs into clear technical specifications.
  • Implement and optimize international trade management systems as both a client and provider.
  • Foster relationships with customs brokers logistics agents and other key stakeholdersto support seamless trade operations.
  • Analyze and document business processes and requirementsto drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with international trade regulations and industry best practices.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and negotiate with internal and external clients.

About You
Youre a fit for the role of International Trade Operations Specialist if you have the following required qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in foreign trade operations.
  • Academic background in International Trade or Information Systems.
  • Strong knowledge of import/export processes general rules of origin and tariff classification.
  • Experience working with customs brokers local and international logistics agents material and document management.
  • Advanced English proficiency both written and spoken.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and the full Office suite.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP Oracle JDA or PeopleSoft.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to define project requirements and specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for query building.

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience implementing international trade management systems as a user or provider.
  • Familiarity with special programs in Mexico such as IMMEX or Bonded Warehouse.
  • Knowledge of PMI project implementation methodology.
  • Advanced database knowledge and technical understanding of system interfaces.
  • Strong negotiation presentation and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to develop new software-related skills and stay updated on foreign trade regulations.
  • Proactive autonomous and solution-oriented attitude.
