About NAAFLS
The North Australian Aboriginal Family Legal Service is a not-for-profit organisation providing holistic legal and support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people experiencing domestic family and sexual violence. Our work is grounded in cultural respect community collaboration and self-determination.
About the Role
The Travel & Logistics Co-ordinator is responsible for coordinating and arranging regional travel and logistics across the organisation. By providing practical support on the ground and fostering cross-program coordination the Travel & Logistics Co-ordinator ensures effective respectful and responsive service delivery across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise travel and accommodation for staff and clients
- Arrange permits for travel to remote communities
- Manage vehicle bookings maintenance and the fleet register
- Maintain the organisations asset register
- Process purchase orders using Xero
- Book staff training and maintain certification records
- Provide basic IT support (hardware software network)
- Assist with meeting equipment setup and reception when needed
- Attend team meetings workshops and planning sessions
- Promote safety and contribute to a positive team culture
- Perform other tasks as required
Selection Criteria
Essential
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Experience with general office administration
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office and accurate data entry
- Understanding of trauma-informed and culturally safe practice
- Hold or able to obtain a Working with Children Clearance and Criminal History Check
- Current NT C Class Driver Licence
- Willingness to travel to remote communities
Desirable
- Experience using Xero accounting software
- Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
- Experience working in an Aboriginal organisation or family violence service
- Understanding of issues around domestic family and sexual violence
