Amazon Devices is looking for a results-oriented and passionate software engineer who wants to help transform the way people shop for Amazon devices and digital subscriptions: whether its online or offline; on desktop tablet or mobile; or using the power of your voice. Who You Are
As a software engineer for the Amazon Devices business you will own and execute on some of the long-term technical initiatives and build products features and services that facilitate the entire customer journey starting from search until checkout. This is a highly visible role and inherently cross-functional - you will work closely with multiple product managers design senior and principal engineers across multiple teams and orgs to deliver new products features and services. We already have a lot of exciting greenfield opportunities on our roadmap ready to go.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background customer obsession and the ability to thrive in a ambiguous environment. You are a champion when it comes to code reviews and design reviews. The ideal candidate will have industry-leading programming skills and knowledge of object oriented development and an established background developing web based applications and services across multiple platforms or high-volume service architectures.
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
