Elevate is partnering with an established and respected leader in the Agricultural & Commodity Trading industry who is seeking a Controller to join its team!This is a key hire for the companys CFO who is looking to hire a bright high potential individual who is poised to make an impact today and be a key player long term as succession planning discussions happen with regards to retiring key executives in the years a company that offers one of Omahas very best insurance and retirement plans and step into a role where you will partner with operations from day one and join a collaborative team that is serious about success.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team that handles all monthly close reporting and financial analysis for this grain trading and merchandising business
- Manage daily mark-to-market accounting hedge / derivative accounting and position reporting for physical and futures contracts
- Become an expert on this companys trading software we are searching for a tech savvy individual who loves digging into technology tools
- Supervise and support a team of accountants with an average tenure of over 5 years per person
- Work daily with commodity traders trade assistants and operations in a highly collaborative and open environment
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team to support business decisions and long-term growth
