Now Hiring Flexo Prepress Technician
Location: Tyler TX
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Flexo Prepress Technician to join our team in Tyler TX. This position is responsible for preparing high-quality flexographic printing plates and ensuring all prepress tasks are completed with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate has a strong background in flexographic platemaking prepress software and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare digital files for platemaking using prepress software and RIP systems
Operate both analog and digital platemaking equipment to produce flexographic plates
Inspect and verify image quality plate integrity and compliance with production standards
Perform color adjustments trapping imposition and file corrections as needed
Mount plates to cylinders when required
Collaborate closely with the Prepress Manager pressroom teams and customer service to ensure job accuracy
Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform minor maintenance; report technical issues promptly
Adhere to production schedules and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Follow all safety protocols and company policies
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in prepress or platemaking preferably in the printing or packaging industry
Hands-on experience with flexographic platemaking processes
Proficiency with prepress software such as Esko ArtPro Adobe Creative Suite and RIP workflows
Solid understanding of color theory registration imposition and preparing print-ready files
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control
Ability to troubleshoot file or platemaking equipment issues
Effective communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented attitude
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
