This position is located in the Office of the Undersecretary - Fiscal Services - Grants.

This positionis responsiblefor the tracking andreportingof activegrantsandrelatedcontractsin theDepartment. It is I00% grants administration duties. This is one of three positions dedicated to the grants program for the Department. The grants program is a complex program. consisting of over twenty (20) grant projects from federal state and private sources totaling over S14 million.

An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of experience in contracts or grants management procurement financial management or accounting; OR

Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR

A bachelors degree.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

  • Current permanent status classified LA State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if accepted.
  • An employee selected for a promotion may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted.
  • This posting may also be used to fill a vacancy as a temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment should a permanent position become available the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.

  • Filled at the highest level of experience of the selected applicant.
  • Salary depends on level of experience.
