Local applicants will be considered as this role does require full-time on-site work at Portfolio/YFDs Boise Idaho office location.


This Business Development Support Specialist will assist in driving growth by supporting key members of our Business Development Team and the Managing Director & President. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating client interactions and representing Portfolio/YFD along with our Managing Director & President
  • Managing client proprietary financial data: reviewing analyzing sorting and reporting (Reinsurance/Cession Data).

Additionally:

  • Business Development Assistance Research & Analysis (financial) CRM and Executive Administration experience is required.
  • Advanced MS Office *Adobe Acrobat* digital data reformation reporting & analytics experience is ideal.
  • Candidates with exceptional written and verbal communication and collaboration skills will be considered for an interview.
  • Mathematical and Data-Driven Inclination is required.
  • Exposure to Dealership (Automotive) Finance/Analytic Reporting is a PLUS however not required.

Compensation:

  • $72K - $80K (Base) Annually: Commensurate with experience and background.

Work schedule:

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday Standard Business Hours. Mountain Standard Time.

Job Summary & Objective:

As an Executive (Business Development Support Specialist) you will serve as the primary point of contact for the Business Development Team and liaise with other management leadership and staff. Organizes coordinates and supports Business Development initiatives and projects as assigned. Provides research and analysis for various projects and reports. Completes all primary goals with flawless execution within established guidelines.


Essential Functions:

  • Act as task manager for open items or missing information requested by other departments and teams within Portfolio.
  • Provide reporting and analysis on production agent activity dealer remittance etc.
  • Take part in planning and coordinating team meetings and functions.
  • Set agendas for team meetings and work with department leaders for involvement and presence.
  • Build rate comparisons and research competitive market information.
  • Regularly documents workflow and work procedures through Process Models.
  • Coordinate training program for the teams.
  • Develop strong relationships with team members and is a trusted resource for them.
  • Work with the event planner for industry and on-site events; i.e. agent trainings Agent Summit etc.
  • Assist the VP of BD with the calendar and schedule.
  • Complete miscellaneous research reports and memos as requested.
  • Create and update Business Development documents as needed.
  • Documents all project work through project management software.
  • General administrative duties (i.e password resets associate set-ups job description and role creation etc).
  • Stays current with trends and technology as it relates to Portfolio processes.
  • Recommends and facilitates ideas for process improvement and efficiency.
  • Recommends opportunities to enhance corporate culture.
  • Handle all requests with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
  • Maintain flexibility to work evenings weekends and off-site as needed.
  • Takes ownership of changes and is personally responsible for managing change in an upbeat positive manner.
  • Strives to enforce and live the Portfolio Philosophy of each and every day.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Education and Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in business or at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Internet savvy with the ability to effectively utilize sites such as Concur Liquid Planner and Prezi.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to think outside the box.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Organized with a high attention to detail.
  • Prior administrative experience.
  • Self-starter and disciplined to work with little to no instruction.
  • Results-driven.
  • Ability to manage concurrent deadlines and priorities.
  • Ability to exercise good and independent judgment.
  • Must be customer-focused.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to naturally establish and maintain positive relationships with all levels of associates and candidates.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment.
  • Ability to be flexible with schedule for occasional evening and weekend interviews.
  • Must be able to travel when requested (less than 10% of job time).
  • Vision acuity required to include close vision color vision distant vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to grasp objects such as a telephone or computer mouse finger dexterity to use a keyboard calculator and standard office equipment
  • Ability to walk stand reach with hands and arms; stoop kneel crouch and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to frequently sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to hear and talk both in person and by phone.
  • Ability to spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
