Morrisville M/S High School seeks a dedicated and dynamic Long-Term Substitute Teacher to teach high school French language and cultural courses. The successful candidate will follow the established curriculum maintain high expectations for student learning and foster a positive engaging learning environment. This position requires a strong command of the French language and the ability to connect with adolescents in meaningful ways that support language acquisition and cultural appreciation.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily instruction in French I French II French Cuisine and French Caribbean.
- Implement lesson plans and develop engaging standards-aligned instruction.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Create a classroom atmosphere conducive to active learning respectful communication and cultural exploration.
- Provide timely feedback to students and communicate with parents/guardians as appropriate.
- Collaborate with department colleagues and administrators to support student success.
- Fulfill duties associated with the daily operation of the school including supervision and faculty/department meetings as required.
- Bachelors degree in French Education or related field.
- Prior teaching experience at the secondary level particularly in French language instruction preferred.
- Strong proficiency in spoken and written French.
- Excellent classroom management communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering inclusivity student engagement and global awareness.
