Job Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Analyze biological specimens record data and report laboratory results accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure the highest standards of laboratory safety and quality control.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment troubleshoot issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to interpret results and discuss patient data.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff and students in laboratory procedures.
Essential Qualifications
- Must hold a Bachelor s degree in Medical Technology or a related field.
- Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or equivalent is required.
- Must have at least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
Desired Experience
- Experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment and technology.
- Familiarity with quality assurance and regulatory compliance standards in laboratory practices.
