Job Description
Job Overview:
Complete a user-friendly GUI that allows for complete/smooth control of the Multi-Axis Centrifuge such that all test conditions can be fully performed/modified with immediate/easy access to all data outputs from the device in a manner that requires minimal end user training to utilize.
Key Responsibilities
- Refine and enhance an existing LabVIEW-based user interface for improved usability and stability.
- Troubleshoot and optimize control logic for industrial-grade servo motors and magnetic braking systems.
- Integrate and synchronize data from motion capture cameras onboard cameras and inertial measurement units.
- Maintain and expand communication protocols between microcontrollers Raspberry Pis and the users PC.
- Interface with and expand on a relational database management system for backend test parameter and input data storage
- Participate in weekly progress meetings and collaborate closely with Honda engineers in onsite testing and system debugging
- Thoroughly document all code and system architecture including inline comments and external documentation
Required Skills
- LabVIEW: High proficiency and experience developing and debugging user interfaces.
- C: For embedded systems and motor control libraries (Teknic/Clear Path)
- Microcontroller Programming: Experience with sensor integration and servo control.
- Linux & Raspberry Pi: Familiarity with camera control and networking on embedded Linux systems.
- Networking Protocols: UDP/IP
- Motion Capture Systems: Experience integrating and synchronizing motion data.
- Database Integration: Working knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle) or similar relational databases.
