Job Description
Location: Austin TX must already be local (no relo) and is onsite 4 days a week
Candidate Profile:
- Primary skill in Tableau especially building Tableau extracts against BigQuery databases.
- Experience with SQL scripts for data extraction and reporting in a GCP/BigQuery environment is preferred.
- Must be local to Austin and work onsite four days a week.
Tableau Developer
We are seeking a skilled Tableau Developer to join our enterprise data analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reports as well as administering the Tableau environment to ensure optimal performance and user access.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data visualizations.
- Administer Tableau Server including user access permissions and performance monitoring.
- Optimize dashboards for performance and usability.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all visualizations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Tableau Server issues and coordinate with IT as needed.
- Document dashboard designs data sources and server configurations.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in Tableau development and administration.
- Proficiency in creating complex dashboards and visualizations using Tableau Desktop.
- Experience with Tableau Server administration and configuration.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
- Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Experience with other BI tools and platforms.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or SQL
- Experience with GCP cloud platforms and BigQuery preferred.
