Job Description
Medical Director of Cardiology (Full-Time)
Client seeks a non-interventional (medical) cardiologist to serve as Medical Director of Cardiology. Lead a community-focused program while providing high-quality inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care. Youll work with experienced APPs and a well-trained clinical support team in a collegial mission-driven environment.
The Role
- Provide comprehensive non-invasive cardiology care (clinic and inpatient consults/rounding).
- Lead the Heart Center service line: quality safety access and patient experience initiatives.
- Oversee and optimize non-invasive testing (e.g. echocardiography stress testing ambulatory monitoring) in collaboration with clinical leaders.
- Mentor physicians APPs and staff; support recruitment education and performance improvement.
- Engage in strategic planning and growth for regional cardiology services.
Qualifications
- MD/DO with ABIM Board Certification/Eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease.
- Eligible for/holding New York State medical license.
- Demonstrated leadership experience (medical director section chief or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong commitment to team-based patient-centered care in a rural/community setting.
- Training/certifications in echocardiography and/or nuclear cardiology.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $560000 $675000 commensurate with experience.
