Job Description

Job Summary:

This role is for a Radiation Therapist in a busy outpatient clinic with three Varian linacs (TrueBeam Halcyon and 21iX) and a Siemens CT simulator. The therapist will provide radiation therapy treatments to adult outpatients utilizing various techniques including IMRT and SRS. The position requires proficiency in radiation oncology procedures treatment planning systems (ARIA) and radiation safety protocols.
Location: Wilmington North Carolina United States
Responsibilities:
- Administering radiation therapy treatments to adult outpatients using Varian TrueBeam Halcyon and 21iX linacs.
- Performing CBCT/kV/mV imaging.
- Utilizing ARIA treatment planning system.
- Chart checking and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Adhering to strict radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions.
- Collaborating with physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
- ARRT (T) certification.
- BLS certification.
- Experience with Varian linacs (TrueBeam Halcyon and ideally 21iX).
- Experience with Siemens CT simulator.
- Proficiency in various radiation therapy techniques (IMRT SRS etc.).
- Experience with ARIA treatment planning system.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Varian 21ex/is and/or Varian Trilogy.
- Experience with Vision RT.
- Experience with a variety of cancer types (e.g. benign brain tumors craniospinal prostate cancer).
Special Considerations:
- No on-call or weekend requirements.
- No float requirements.
- No orientation or dimensions training required; can start immediately.
- Modified holiday schedule: work Sunday before Thanksgiving and Christmas closed Friday after.
- RTO (Remote Treatment On-site) is not allowed.

Scheduling:
- Standard shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (5x8s).
- Start times may be flexible depending on patient volume.
