Job Description

Job Role : Consumer Loan Processor

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Loan Processor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the loan origination process by ensuring that all necessary documentation is collected reviewed and processed efficiently. This position requires strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of financial services underwriting and mortgage servicing. Responsibilities

  • Review and verify loan applications for accuracy and completeness.
  • Gather necessary documentation from borrowers including income verification credit reports and asset statements.
  • Process loans in accordance with FNMA guidelines and TILA regulations.
  • Collaborate with loan officers to ensure timely communication with clients throughout the loan process.
  • Prepare loan files for underwriting ensuring all required information is included.
  • Manage escrow accounts and coordinate with third-party vendors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications related to the loan processing.
  • Address any issues or discrepancies that arise during the processing phase promptly.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma/GED Required
  • Proven experience in loan processing or a related field within financial services.
  • Familiarity with underwriting processes and mortgage servicing is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FNMA guidelines and TILA regulations.
  • Excellent mathematical skills for accurate data analysis and calculations.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Previous experience as a loan officer is a plus but not required.
