Description:
Client Mobility is hiring numerous Motors/Gearbox Assembly Technicians to overhaul and rebuild locomotive gears. We are responsible for disassembling cleaning repairing and reassembling components according to drawings and guidelines to ensure product specifications and quality standards are met. We inspect and adjust completed motors to ensure they meet specifications tolerances and customer order requirements. We have a training and development plan waiting for you!
1st Shift
06:30 15:00 Monday to Friday

1. Client has reputation as one of the fortune 500 companies that is 170 year in business.
2. The widely acclaimed magazine FORTUNE just recently named Client the Worlds Most Admired Company in our industry for the fifth year in a row.
3. In last year we have converted at least 15 production employees from temps to permanent employees.
4. Once temp is converted to permanent employment Client has very good compensation package which include 401K contribution 6% medical insurance dental insurance 18 days PTO11 Holidays and much more.
5. Temporary employees are part of incentive bonus program.
Main Job Tasks
Check and clean motors.
Take photos and write down test results.
Change parts like bearings and couplings.
Put the motor back together and test it.
Paint the motor and clean the work area.
Help improve safety and work processes.
Knowledge Needed
Basic math (adding subtracting etc.).
Safety rules.
How to use tools and machines.
Basic computer use.
How products are made and checked.
Skills Needed
Listen and talk clearly.
Work well with others.
Solve problems.
Follow instructions.
Keep records.
Requirements:
HS Diploma required
Mathematics Knowledge of arithmetic algebra geometry statistics and their applications.
English Language Basic understanding
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Knowledge of environmental health and safety regulations and procedures.
Product- Knowledge of product workmanship standards and assembly procedures.
Production and Processing Knowledge of raw materials production processes quality control costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Machines and Tools- Knowledge of machines power tools and hand tools including their designs uses repair and operator level maintenance.
Documenting/Recording Information - Entering transcribing recording storing or maintaining information in written or electronic/magnetic form.
