Job Title Assembler II
Duration - 6 months
Shift 12-hour shifts 6:00 AM 6:00 PM (2-2-3 rotation schedule (work two days off two days work three days then rotate))

Note:
- Steel-toe shoes required
- Eye and ear protection provided by client and must be worn at all times
- Entry-level candidates encouraged to apply; training will be provided
Summary:
- We are seeking motivated individuals for an entry-level role working with gas meters. This position requires reliability attention to safety and the ability to perform physical tasks over extended periods.
Responsibilities:
- Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality.
- Successfully completes all site-specific training regarding safety and quality.
- Receives components or items for assembly and/or test in programmed sequence.
- Assembles and/or tests mechanical or electrical components by means of sensitive hand and equipment coordination.
- May assemble minor variations of in-house standard products.
- Follows clear assembly/test instructions e.g. color code pvc thermal welding and thread taping. Uses simple hand or power tools along with uncomplicated jigs and fixtures.
- Enter work hours in ERP system (Currently ShopVue)
- Completes required documentation related to production.
- Drives continuous improvement process and conducts daily housekeeping/5S audits to ensure continuous improvement activities.
- Reads and understands simple layout and assembly drawings.
- Maintains equipment and area in clean safe condition.
- Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Mechanical aptitude as evidenced by work experience high school/tech school coursework hobbies etc.
Physical requirements:
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for up to 12 hours per shift
- Capable of performing hands-on tasks and manual labor safely and efficiently
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
- Must be able to bend carry reach push and pull on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
- May work in areas where noise level is such that hearing protection is required.
- May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
- Work surfaces may include concrete. Employee must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
