Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and autonomous Data Engineer with experience in AI technologies to join our multicultural team. This role combines data engineering expertise with applied AI focusing on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) semantic search and AWS services. You will contribute to both maintaining existing solutions and supporting new AI-driven initiatives.
What is this position about
- Design develop and maintain data pipelines and AI-powered retrieval systems.
- Support the implementation and optimization of semantic search RAG workflows and prompt engineering strategies.
- Ensure data quality testing coverage and system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver AI-based solutions.
- Participate in system migrations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production environments.
Qualifications :
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience with AWS services: S3 Lambda API Gateway (required) Bedrock and Bedrock Knowledge Bases (desirable).
- Knowledge of RAG pipelines semantic search embeddings and prompt engineering.
- Familiarity with OpenSearch or similar search engines.
- Experience with unit and integration testing.
- Understanding of data modeling and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB desirable).
- Knowledge of Kafka (desirable).
- Experience with Visual Studio via SageMaker (plus).
- Autonomous and proactive with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Pragmatic adaptable and able to work under pressure.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a multicultural environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in fast-paced settings.

You will need excellent written and verbal English for clear and effective communication with the team.

In order to thrive in this role you must have at least 5 years of experience in similar roles.
