Join a Global Team Delivering Excellence in Pulp Project Procurement
We are looking for a driven and experienced Project Procurement Manager to join our Global Supply Pulp Project Procurement team based in Sundsvall.
At Valmet our Global Supply and Pulp Project Procurement function plays a key role in ensuring a competitive and reliable supply of goods and services for our Pulp and Energy Projects worldwide. You will be at the heart of this mission working closely with project teams across multiple Valmet sites and collaborating with functions like Project Management Engineering and Design.
What You will Do
As a Project Procurement Manager you will be the procurement lead in your assigned projects responsible for:
- Defining supply strategies and action plans in collaboration with project teams and category strategies
- Ensuring timely deliveries and cost control aligned with project goals
- Driving long-term cost savings and value creation
- Managing global sourcing and procurement activities
- Leading contract negotiations for products and installations
- Building strong supplier relationships and improving performance in areas like delivery quality innovation and cost
- Supporting sales projects with strategic procurement insights and cost data
What You Bring
To succeed in this role you are:
- Business-oriented and results-driven with a strong sense of ownership
- Experienced in leading negotiations and stakeholder collaboration an international settings
- Skilled in managing complex installation contracts and procurement processes
You hold a relevant engineering or commercial degree or equivalent experience. Your analytical mindset helps you make swift fact-based decisions. Youre a confident communicator with intercultural awareness and a collaborative spirit. Familiar with the Pulp and Paper industry or similar industrial environments will be an advantage. Fluency in English is essential and youre comfortable working with Office 365 and preferably ERP Infor LN.
