Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientedJunior Security Analystto join our Information Security team in ahybrid rolebased in Overland Park this position you will help safeguard our systems data and users by supporting daily security operations monitoring threats and contributing to our overall cybersecurity posture.

Key Responsibilities

Continuously monitor security alerts and events generated by SIEMs and other security tools; triage and escalate as needed.

Assist in investigating and remediating security incidents ensuring timely resolution and accurate documentation.

Conduct regular vulnerability scans support tracking and follow-up on remediation efforts with relevant teams.

Participate in periodic risk assessments internal/external audits and compliance-related activities.

Help maintain configure and administer security tools and technologies (e.g. endpoint protection email security vulnerability scanners).

Support security awareness initiatives including phishing simulations training campaigns and user education efforts.

Create and maintain clear and detailed documentation of procedures incidents investigations and system configurations.

Collaborate closely with IT and other departments to promote and enforce security best practices across the organization.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree inComputer Science Cybersecurity Information Technology or a related field.

23 years of experience in acybersecurity information security or IT security-focused role.

Familiarity with key areas of security operations such as:

Endpoint protection and monitoring.

Vulnerability management and remediation.

Security event monitoring and alert triage.

Solid understanding of core networking concepts including basic network protocols access controls firewalls and authentication mechanisms.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to document findings clearly and professionally.

Comfortable working independently while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Experience

Exposure tocloud security conceptsand platforms (e.g. Microsoft 365 Azure).

Experience supportingcompliance effortsor familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework ISO 27001 etc.

Familiarity with ticketing systems change management processes and IT service workflows.

Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies including but not limited to:

SentinelOne(endpoint protection)

Qualys(vulnerability management)

Abnormal Security(email security)

Other security monitoring or administrative tools.
