About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Network Specialist to join our growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) this leadership role you will oversee the design implementation and support of network infrastructures for a diverse client base. You will serve as a technical expert mentor junior staff and ensure high-quality service delivery while maintaining strong client relationships. This is a contract until the beginning of March.
Hours: Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning deployment and optimization of client network infrastructures including LAN WAN VPNs firewalls and wireless systems.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex networking issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with clients to assess business needs recommend solutions and implement secure scalable network designs.
- Manage and monitor network performance proactively identifying risks bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee configuration maintenance and upgrades of switches routers firewalls and other networking equipment.
- Ensure compliance with client security requirements industry standards and MSP best practices.
- Document network diagrams configurations and processes for internal knowledge base and client records.
- Mentor and support junior network engineers and technicians fostering technical growth and professional development.
- Assist leadership with strategic planning technology evaluations and service delivery improvements.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours client support as needed.
$20 - $25 an hour
