Job Description
Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to make a significant impact We are seeking an enthusiastic Business Controller (ESG) to strengthen our business through innovative environmental social and governance (ESG) initiatives and this pivotal role you will be at the forefront of Kongsberg Maritimes sustainability efforts driving the development and monitoring of ESG reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Working closely with our dedicated sustainability function as well as various functions and divisions across Kongsberg Maritime you will contribute to our strategic targets and participate in diverse projects that extend beyond the ESG scope. We are looking for a structured and analytical individual with a strong interest in sustainability who is also adaptable and capable of supporting other central functions within our organization.
The most important tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Ensure compliance with EU Taxonomy by mapping business practices to taxonomy classifications while facilitating transparency in reporting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant ESG legislation and standards.
- Contribute to the preparation of ESG reports as well as climate accounts
- Analyse ESG data and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Secure and maintain effective internal control systems related to ESG processes and reporting.
- Secure sustainability data integrity
- Participate in other initiatives supporting the companys strategic goals such as innovation process improvements or other internal projects.
- Create models and analyses for future CO2 emissions based on operational and business scenarios
This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check. Please note that this might affect the offer process or employment.
Qualifications
- Relevant education in finance accounting or sustainability.
- Preferably some experience in ESG reporting and analysis.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and frameworks related to ESG and preferably Maritime Sector
- Strong analytical and modelling skills and the ability to handle complex datasets.
- Experience in data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Creative and solution-oriented with a proactive approach.
- Strong communication skills both oral and written in Norwegian and English.
