Job Opportunity: Locum - Physician - Surgery - Neuro in Toledo OH
Join our esteemed facility in Toledo Ohio as we seek a dedicated physician specializing in Neurosurgery. Located in a vibrant city known for its rich history and community spirit our practice emphasizes high-quality care in a level 1 trauma center equipped to handle complex procedures and emergency situations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide neuro surgical care at a level 1 trauma center focusing on adult and pediatric cases.
- Perform ICP or EVD monitoring and placement as necessary.
- Conduct spinal instrumentation for trauma including cervical thoracic and lumbar surgeries.
- Manage emergent cranial trauma cases including craniotomies and craniectomies.
- Engage actively with the on-site clinical support team including APPs and residents.
- Participate in 24-hour on-call coverage and morning rounding shifts.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery.
- Experience with general neurosurgery spinal surgery with and without instrumentation.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and techniques in neurosurgery.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to work alongside APPs and surgical residents.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active Ohio medical license (willing to accept providers needing to obtain state license or those holding IMLC).
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- DEA registration required.
- Must be available for the specified December coverage dates to be considered.
