Job Description

An Administrative Technician provides administrative support to Managers Foremen Supervisors represented employees and Union officials. Must be able to maintain manual and electronic files perform general office support functions answer phones take messages mail distribution input data electronically fax and photocopying duties furniture moving records retention assignments and mail distribution. This posting is for a position as a furniture mover. Must be capable of working in a fast paced environment with distractions have the ability to multi-task and possess good people skills.

Required/Preferred Education/Training

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Associates degree in Administrative Business field preferred.

Required/Preferred Experience

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel Access and typing skills of 80 WPM. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with accuracy. Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Candidate must be highly motivated with a proven ability to work independently with strong organizational skills. Must have a demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Must be capable of working in any type of environment including but not limited to offices warehouses outside and in manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints to assemble furniture locate customers and relocate their items into other buildings will be required.
  • Prior experience with hand and power tools is required.
  • Heavy lifting is required. Candidate must have the ability to lift 50 lb. repeatedly.
  • Must be available to work special events including early mornings.
