Salary: VPS 5.1: $113022 to $124884 (pro-rata) 12% superannuation

About the role:
Reporting to the Regional Manager Southwest this outward-facing role leads strategic engagement with communities industry government and stakeholders. Youll be the voice of EPA in the regiondriving proactive and reactive communications that support frontline regulatory operations and EPAs strategic priorities.
In this role you will:
- Build and maintain strategic relationships through forums events and stakeholder meetings.
- Lead engagement planning and delivery at both the strategic and operational level.
- Prepare internal briefs for senior leaders including the CEO and ensure insights flow back to the team.
- Support and uplift staff capability in communications and engagement and provide expert guidance.
- Role model leadership collaboration and integrity as part of the regional leadership team.
Skills and experience:
- Proven success in communications and stakeholder engagement ideally in a regulatory setting.
- Strong written and verbal skills able to handle tricky conversations and set the right tone.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate technical content into clear messaging.
- Highly organised and self-driven thrives in an autonomous role.
- Proven ability to apply relevant government legislation regulations reporting directives and procedures to achieve optimal organisational outcomes.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (desirable).
- Knowledge of local communities in the region (preferred).
