Description

As Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialists are to key all invoices received from suppliers and enter all customer payments. The team member will be responsible for payments going to our suppliers on time in the correct amount and to the correct supplier. The team member will also be responsible for ensuring customer accounts are up-to-date and statements are sent to them timely.
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance this position is based in Shreveport LA.
Major Accountability:
- Process accounts payable invoices and supplier credits
- Review weekly payment run to ensure accuracy
- Maintain and manage electronic correspondence
- Research and resolve exceptions
- Respond to complex AP inquiries and resolve inquiries
- Customer Accounts are up to date and accurate
- Understand the AP & AR functions role key policies and standard operating procedures
- Maintain organized desk area and work flow for all incoming and outgoing traffic
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Review weekly payment run to ensure accuracy.
- Research and resolve exceptions to reimbursement
- Apply payments made by the customer to their account
- Respond/resolve any AP/AR issues.
- Perform month-end tasks.
- Assist with quarterly/annual audits
- Maintain and manage electronic correspondence
- Perform quality assurance of transactional activities
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Accounting Degree preferred but not required
- Accounts Payable and Receivable experience preferred but not required
Skills & Abilities:
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word Excel etc.)
- Relevant software applications
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Customer service
- Basic verbal and written communications skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast paced and multi-task environment
Well organized and able to function within tight deadlines
Working Conditions:
- Typically office environment with remote flexibility but will require interaction on the production floor regularly.
