About the role:

In Alcoa Corporations Finance Leadership Development Rotational Program youll have the opportunity to work and learn at one of the worlds most respected companies including being named to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index . Alcoa is a global organization that offers diverse opportunities exciting challenges and the chance to apply your skills within a world-class finance organization.

In August of each year the new financial analysts begin their work rotating through four challenging assignments (six months each) in Alcoas Finance organization. The rotations give the analysts first-hand exposure to Alcoas business processes and values. The program also emphasizes professional development with formal and informal feedback and exposure to executives throughout the rotation. The rotational assignments are based at Alcoas corporate center in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.

At the end of the two-year program the analysts will ideally be placed as an analyst in one of our Resource Units or at one of Alcoas production locations. The program is designed to develop the analysts to take the next step in their finance careers and ultimately in their careers as Alcoa business leaders.

Key responsibilities within the four rotational assignments include:

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Perform and consolidate monthly reporting for use by Alcoas top business leaders
  • Conduct operating plan and forecast reviews
  • Analyze performance against key financial metrics
  • Work with plant finance representatives to explain operating results and variances as well as to highlight business challenges and opportunities

Financial Accounting

  • Analyze monthly closing results and assist with preparation of financial statements
  • Analyze impact of accounting changes
  • Collaborate with team members to develop new or improved accounting policies or procedures
  • Participate in communications with key plant and legal entity leaders on financial impact of accounting and business issues

Internal Audit

  • Provide objective and professional evaluation of Alcoas internal control and management systems
  • Perform location assessments as part of multi-functional team which may include travel to manufacturing sites in the United States Canada or Europe
  • Perform audits under Sarbanes Oxley accounting standards
  • Identify and present process improvement opportunities to business managers

Treasury

  • Increase knowledge and understanding of the structure activities and purpose of the Global Treasury department including: Overall Structure Cash Management Corporate Finance Insurance Risk Management and Digital Treasury
  • Ensure assigned projects are completed in an accurate and timely manner
  • Utilize opportunities to network with individuals in the Global Treasury department

What you can bring to the role:

  • A Bachelors degree in business Accounting or Finance majors preferred
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher with a major GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Courses in basic accounting completed with at least a B average
  • A graduation date of December 2025 or Spring 2026
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • A desire to grow your career within Alcoa
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A collaborative mindset and an ability to work on team
