Job Description

Job Description:
A sourcing agent is responsible for identifying evaluating and managing relationships with suppliers manufacturers and vendors to meet Satellite Suites current production needs. The agents focus is to optimize cost quality and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Research identify and assess potential suppliers based on quality price reliability and service.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate pricing terms lead times and conditions to secure the best possible agreements for the company.
  • Quality Assurance: Coordinate with quality control teams or conduct on-site inspections to ensure products meet the required standards before shipment.
  • Order Management: Place purchase orders track production and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about market trends new suppliers and alternative materials or products that could provide cost or performance advantages.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain such as supplier disruptions political instability or logistical issues.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze costs and work to optimize expenses while maintaining quality and service standards.
  • Cross Department Coordination: Work with logistics quality control finance and production departments to ensure a seamless procurement process.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on sourcing activities supplier performance cost savings and potential risks.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to negotiate favorable terms and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data compare suppliers and make sound decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and professional communication with suppliers internal stakeholders and team members.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in reviewing contracts specifications and product samples.
  • Problem-Solving: Quick and creative responses to unexpected situations in the sourcing process.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement software ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage projects and coordinate with various stakeholders to achieve timely results.
  • Market Awareness: Up-to-date knowledge of market trends new suppliers and cost drivers affecting the industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration International Trade or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in procurement sourcing or supply chain roles (experience requirements may vary by employer).
  • Experience with supplier audits compliance and international trade regulations is highly desirable.
  • Language skills especially proficiency in English and the language(s) of key sourcing regions (e.g. Mandarin Spanish) are an asset.

Compensation:
The pay range listed is the base pay range that Satellite Shelters inc/Satellite Industries Inc. reasonably expects to pay someone for this position (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors including but not limited to a candidates qualifications skills competencies experience location and end client requirements).
