Summary:
The adjunct faculty will be responsible for teaching dance classes in the styles of ballet jazz tap and others to undergraduate BFA students.Job Description:
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Serve as undergraduate faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences.
- Teach dance classes. Depending on the candidates area of expertise styles may include ballet tap jazz and others.
- Timely response to student questions and concerns
- Timely submission of university reports and requirements such as attendance grades and student progress reports
Required knowledge skills and abilities
- Candidates should have extensive knowledge and ability in the areas of dance.
- Candidates should have considerable professional experience as a performer.
- Candidates should have effective instructional methods.
Minimum qualifications
- MFA in Dance Musical Theatre Drama Theatre Acting or other theatrical performance arts equivalent. If candidate does not hold an MFA candidate may provide equivalent professional experience as justification.
- Professional experience as a singer actor director and/or dancer.
